The AquaCar was an amphibious car design by Ron Costa, a boat designer from California. It exists only as a set of artistic renderings showing the car on a beach, in perspective and in water mode; Costa was never able to raise enough capital to build it.
In a November 2002 email to the archive owner, Costa recalled the design and explained that he was starting work on a new amphibian, this time a truck. To keep the cost down it would be based on a donor vehicle and funded from his own money, and he hoped it would reach 20 knots (about 37 km/h) in the water. He noted that the new truck would share some of the technology developed for the AquaCar.
