The M116 is a US military tracked amphibious personnel carrier. The archive's material comes from a May 2004 eBay listing of a 1961 example located on Colorado's Front Range near Denver.
The seller said the vehicle ran, drove, stopped and "SWIMS very well". It had just been repainted with no corrosion found, the tracks were over 90% good with three spare segments, and the V8 engine had been rebuilt by the military in 1968. The steering unit had recently been overhauled, and the odometer showed only 500 miles.
