The PB-7 was a lighter, more manoeuvrable development of the Soviet PB-4 amphibious armoured car, built in a small series in 1936. It used the 6x4 GAZ-AAA truck chassis with a 50 hp engine, and had a new hull without the PB-4's side pontoons, driven in the water by a screw propeller. It weighed 4.5 tonnes, had a crew of three and 4-8 mm armour, and reached 60 km/h on roads and 5 km/h in water. Armament was a single 7.62 mm ShKAS machine gun with 1,000 rounds. Photographs show it on trials fitted with removable tracks.
