The Wildcat 8x8 is an eight-wheeled amphibious ATV, known to the archive from an eBay listing for a new example. The seller held German road approval for it, at extra cost. It shares its 796 cc, 36 hp three-cylinder fuel-injected engine with the Kingpower 8x8 ATV in the same folder.
Design
The Wildcat has a CVT with two forward gears and reverse, chain drive, hydraulic disc brakes and handlebar steering. It is 3.16 m long, 1.62 m wide and 1.15 m high, with 200 mm ground clearance, and can climb 45-degree slopes. It seats four and carries 500 kg on land or 300 kg in the water. Top speed is about 45 km/h on land and 15 km/h afloat.
The seller stressed that, unlike the Canadian Argo, the Wildcat does not paddle with its wheels: a propulsion unit at the rear drives it in the water, making it faster than the Argo. An electric winch and tow hitch were included. A cover with windscreen and a one- or two-axle trailer that can float behind the vehicle were offered as options. It was marketed for hunting, fishing and trekking, and for utility, natural-resource and search-and-rescue work.
