The Scrambler Gotcha was a small amphibious all-terrain vehicle, known to the archive from an eBay listing of May 2004 in western New York. The seller called it very rare and thought it might be a prototype.
Design
Unlike the many six-wheeled amphibious ATVs, the Gotcha is a four-wheeler. Its original 8 hp Briggs & Stratton engine had an electric starter and drove the wheels through chains, on Carlisle tyres. The seller stressed that it was a 4x4 and that it really was amphibious.
Condition
The example for sale was in original condition with minor front damage. It ran, drove and stopped, though it burned oil and had one slowly leaking tyre. Some chains had been replaced, and the hours appeared to be low.
