The AVP-093 Zhuk ("Beetle") is a compact two-seat amphibious all-terrain vehicle assembled by an industrial company in Murom.

Design

Power comes from a 640 cc two-cylinder, air-cooled two-stroke petrol engine with a carburettor. Drive goes through a continuously variable transmission combined with a two-speed manual gearbox, and each side's three wheels are chain driven, giving 6x6 traction on 580R10.6 tyres.

The vehicle is about 2.48 m long, 1.47 m wide and 1.03 m high. It weighs roughly 400 kg empty and about 700 kg fully laden, carrying a payload of some 300 kg and able to tow a further 500 kg. Top speed is quoted as about 50 km/h on land, while in the water it manages only about 2 km/h, presumably paddling with its wheels.
