The Amphibious Sport Utility Rescue Vehicle was a project by Ron Musgrave, who sent pictures of it to the archive in April 2003. He described it as an all-purpose sportsman's vehicle for scuba diving, swimming, fishing, rescue, off-roading and hunting.
It is propelled in the water by a jet drive, chosen so as not to endanger swimmers. On land it has high- and low-range four-wheel drive and can take tyres up to 44 inches in diameter. The low, centred centre of gravity was claimed to give good stability both on land and afloat, and the body and frame are made entirely of stainless steel. At the time it was not in production and the builder was looking for backing.
