Quality Industries amphibious equipment

Quality Industries, Inc. built a range of amphibious working machines, its flagship being the amphibious hydraulic excavator. Its pontoons were also used as carriers for mowers, cutters, blades, dredges and drill rigs, and as personnel carriers. The company's website (c. 2000) said its machines had worked in Asia, Africa, Australia, South America and many parts of the United States.

• Amphibious excavator (10XT-HD-94-HYD): diesel, about 10.4 x 5.6 m, 31.8 tonnes; 2.9 km/h on land and 14.5 km/h on water.
• Heavy-duty personnel/cargo carrier (10XT-HD-64M): about 12.0 x 5.6 m, 19 tonnes, carrying 10.9 tonnes; up to 8 km/h on land and 1.6-4.8 km/h on water.
• Amphibious dredge on an excavator (10XT-HD-59-HYD): about 9.4 x 5.6 x 3.8 m, 23.6 tonnes.
• Hydraulic backhoe (36060603B): 15 m (50 ft) reach, about 10.4 x 5.6 m, 33 tons; turns in place and climbs 60-degree slopes.
• Personnel carrier: aluminium, petrol or diesel, hydraulic or mechanical drive, 4.5-5.4 tonnes, about 7.3 x 4.2 m; 16 km/h on land and 6.4 km/h on water.
• Wheel buggy (104W-HD-12X9): twin-diesel hydraulic drive, 50 tonnes, about 8.9 x 7.6 x 6.6 m, carrying 9 tonnes afloat; 13 km/h on land.
• Rotary excavator (104T-DSP-76): continuous excavator, about 8.8 x 4.6 m, 10.7 tonnes.
• Brushcutter with bulldozer blade (8X25-95-HYD): about 7.5 x 2.6 m, 10 tonnes; up to 6.4 km/h on land and 4.8 km/h on water.
