The All Terrain Tracked Carrier (ATTC) is a multi-purpose articulated tracked vehicle from Singapore, described in a December 1999 STK product brochure. Like the Swedish Bv206 it consists of a front and a rear cab joined by an articulated steering unit, but it is considerably larger and heavier, and was intended to be configured as anything from a logistics carrier to a command post or weapons platform.
Design
Power comes from a Caterpillar 3126B turbocharged diesel rated at 350 bhp, driving through a fully automatic Allison MD3560P transmission to all four track sprockets. Steering is hydraulic and articulated, with an optional differential lock for tight turns in difficult ground. Each unit runs on seamless moulded rubber tracks 600 mm wide, with twelve 420 mm road wheels per side; ground pressure is quoted at 60 kPa. Two bilge pumps are fitted in each cab.
The vehicle is 8.6 m long, 2.3 m wide and 2.2 m high and carries 16 people (6 in front, 10 in the rear). The enclosed version has a curb weight of 10,800 kg and a payload of 4,200 kg; the flatbed version weighs 10,300 kg and carries 4,700 kg, both at a gross weight of 15,000 kg.
Performance
Top road speed is 60 km/h and cross-country speed about 25 km/h. It can climb a 60% slope, cross a 1.5 m trench and climb a 0.6 m step. Swimming is said to need minimal preparation. The quoted water speed is 4.5 km/h in the specification table, while the introduction says 5 km/h.
Variants
The source website shows a series of drawings of possible versions, including an open-top carrier, ambulance, command post, recovery vehicle, ammunition resupply vehicle for 155 mm howitzers and air-defence platforms. The author says plainly that these are "purely based on author's wild imagination" and are not official. Timoney Technology and Soucy are named as partner companies.
