The Stolz Autoporter is an amphibious trailer built in Germany in the 1960s and intended to be towed behind a Volkswagen Beetle. It was marketed as suitable for camping, sport, travel and work, and could serve as a land trailer, as a floating craft and, in winter, as a sledge fitted with runners.
History
The archive's only text is a German-language eBay listing from July-August 2004, when an example located in Eltmann, Bavaria, was auctioned as a collector's rarity. The listing repeats the maker's claim that the Autoporter was designed on the basis of more than 50 years of experience in aircraft and vehicle construction and had proved itself over many years. No dimensions or technical details are given.
