Specifications need checking. Some figures here were taken from the archive and have not been confirmed against a source.

In e-mails to the archive, René Pohl described three amphibious prototypes from Thyssen's Unimog-based armoured car line. In each case only one example could swim.

UR 416 S (1973)

The first, the UR 416 S, was developed in 1973 on a Unimog 406 frame. It had a 5.7-litre Mercedes-Benz OM 352 six-cylinder diesel of 100 PS and a propeller that pushed it at about 6 km/h in the water.

TM 125 (1977)

The TM 125 of 1977 was developed from the UR 416 S. Several were built, but only one prototype was definitely amphibious. It was again Unimog-based, with a stronger 125 PS engine and a propeller for water drive.

TM 170 (1980)

The TM 170 of 1980 was somewhat larger, with 170 hp. Again only one of the series could swim. It had two hydraulically driven propellers mounted behind the rear wheels.
