The Trippel Alligator of 1957 was a rear-wheel-drive amphibious car by Hans Trippel using Austin mechanical parts. Files in the archive link it with the Marathon name and label it a pre-Amphicar design. It led on to the Eurocar of 1958-1959 and the Amphicar prototype of 1960.
