The VALT 6x6 is a light six-wheeled amphibious vehicle powered by the two-cylinder engine of the Citroën 2CV and Dyane. The archive's only text is a machine-translated French sale advertisement for a 1985 example with 4,000 km on the clock, described as a rare military amphibian.
It has a welded steel-angle frame with zinc-coated sheet panels and a polyester cover, and a Citroën four-speed gearbox whose lever emerges between the two seats. All six large, deep-treaded wheels are driven by a central shaft and two double chains. There is no steering wheel: like a tank, it is steered with two levers that brake the wheels on either side, and it can turn on the spot. The vehicle weighs 580 kg. The seller warned that the 29 hp engine can struggle on soft ground, where the vehicle tends to dig in, and advised keeping the throttle wide open.
