The Volkswagen Type 181 amphibious prototype is an amphibious version of the Type 181. A contributor to the Type 181 registry described it as the rarest Type 181 in the world and, as far as he knew, the only amphibious Type 181 prototype in existence. In 2001 it was in Belgium, where its owner was offering it for sale. The archive has no technical details.
