The GAZ-59033 BREM-K is an armoured repair and recovery vehicle from the Arzamas Machine-Building Plant, based on the BTR-80 eight-wheeled amphibious chassis. It is designed to tow and recover stuck or damaged vehicles and to carry out repairs in the field.
The main winch pulls 4,400-6,000 kgf, or 8,800-12,000 kgf with a pulley block. A crane lifts 1,500 kg, and welding equipment and a repair kit are carried. The vehicle weighs 14 tonnes, measures 7.7 x 2.9 x 3.0 m and has a crew of four. A 260 hp (191 kW) KAMAZ-7403 diesel gives 80 km/h on roads and 9 km/h afloat, with a range of 600-800 km.
