Design
The engine and gearbox come from the GAZ-24, the well-known Russian Volga car. Its running gear can be used either as a tracked vehicle or as a wheeled one. The vehicle weighs about 2 tonnes and can pull a trailer of around 1.6 tonnes. Fuel consumption is quoted as 18 litres per 100 km.
Performance and use
On tracks it can reach about 45 km/h, while on wheels on the highway it reaches about 100 km/h. By the time of writing it had been used in a range of conditions and had covered 80,000 km.
